About Our Music Night
Music is an artform that is meant to be experienced and shared together. Currier Music Night brings families together to enjoy performances by our Multicultural Choir and LMS Jazz Band, and participate in music activities that showcase what our students learn in the music classroom.
Evening Schedule
6:00 p.m. - 6:55 p.m. - Family check-in, food and live performances
6:15 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - Currier Multicultural Choir Performance in the gym
6:30 p.m.- 6:55 p.m. - LMS Jazz Band Performance in the gym
6:55 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. - Transition to Session 1
7:00 p.m. - 7:25 p.m. - Session 1
7:25 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - Transition to session 2
7:30 p.m. - 7:55 p.m. - Session 2
7:55 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. - Event Concludes
Sessions
Join Mr. Orlyk in the Innovation Center for read alouds using the Novel Effect app. For all ages. 30 person limit per session.
Join Mrs. Zeiche and Mrs. Kazar in the Art Room to make Rain Sticks and learn about Native American music. Best for ages 8 and up. 30 person limit per session.
Join Mr. Martinak in the Stem Lab to make electronic music using the app Keezy. For all ages. 30 person limit per session.
Join Ms. Carreno and Friends in the classroom for an evening of bucket drumming! For ages 8 and up. 30 person limit per session.
Join Mrs. Avila and Mrs. Laraia in the classroom to learn all about Antonin Dvorak and the American Quartet. For all ages. 30 person limit per session.
Join Mr. Burns and Friends in the classroom for an evening of live music and learning more about the guitar. For all ages. No limit per session.
Join Mr. Godoy in the classroom to learn about and play xylophone instruments and orffestrations. Best for ages 8 and up. 30 person limit per session.
Join Ms. Mutchler in the Music Room to dance the oldest American dance; the Virginia Reel. Best for ages 8 and up. 30 person limit per session.
Join Mrs. Salzmann and Mrs. Hollister in the Gym to play with scarves, parachutes and bean bags! Best for ages 0-8. 30 person limit per session.
Join Ms. Gaynor and Friends in the main entrance to try out instruments and learn more about the middle school music programs. For all ages. 30 person limit per session.
